Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson are collaborating on a new film. The two actors will co-star in Amazon Studios’ Red One, an action-adventure comedy that imagines a new world inside the Christmas genre.
Hiram Garcia, the head of production at Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, wrote the original story for the film. Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: The Next Level, Bad Teacher) will direct and co-produce the film with Seven Bucks Productions.
Chris Morgan (Hobbs and Shaw, The Fate of the Furious) will write and co-produce the film. Johnson most recently appeared in Red Notice, a Netflix thriller starring Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, as well as Jungle Cruise last year. He’s also working on Black Adam, which is due out later this year. Johnson also appeared as a voice actor in Ryan Reynolds’ summer movie Free Guy.
In October, the Jumanji actor revealed Red One on his Instagram page, stating that production will begin in the summer of 2022.
