Fast & Furious has one Toretto family member who has yet to be shown in the movies.
One Toretto family member has yet to be seen in the Fast & Furious series. Family has become as much a part of the Fast & Furious series as the automobiles and incredible action scenes.
While the films often concentrate on the “crew” that Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto refers to, the real Toretto family is an important component of the franchise’s mythos. For the longest time, Dom and his sister Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) were the only family members featured, but the Fast & Furious franchise’s continual growth has meant introducing new family members, including in some unexpected ways.
Dom’s family has grown throughout the course of the movie, as he had a son with Elena (Elsa Pataky) and married Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez). F9, on the other hand, introduced viewers to numerous more members of the Toretto family tree. Dom’s father, Jack, was eventually seen in a flashback, but the major surprise came with John Cena’s Jakob, Dom’s younger brother. The revelation that Dom and Mia had a sibling may not have matched with the franchise’s canon, but it was made regardless. Fast X will also introduce new Toretto family members, including Rita Moreno as Dom’s grandma.
The first animated Programme, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, was a crucial element of the Fast & Furious franchise’s recent growth on Netflix. The drama, which aired for six seasons, centered on a youthful group of racers turned spies. Vin Diesel’s Dom even made an appearance on the Programme to meet up with Tony Toretto, the protagonist character of Spy Racers, who is his cousin. Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey provided the voice of Tony Toretto in Spy Racers, although he has yet to appear in the live-action films. As it stands, he is one of the few known Toretto family members that has been left out of the movie.
Tyler Posey as Tony Toretto in the Fast and Furious franchise?
Nothing has been confirmed, but Tyler Posey might portray Tony Toretto in a Fast & Furious film. The most difficult obstacle is that Spy Racers presented Tony Toretto as a teenager, while Posey is in his 30s. That gives Universal and the Fast & Furious creative team with a couple options for how to utilize the character of Toretto.
Because the events of Spy Racers have no actual link to the movies, the plot of the Programme may have taken place many years ago in terms of the movies. This would enable Tyler Posey to play an elderly Tony Toretto in a Fast and Furious film. Posey may also try to portray someone in their early twenties, with just a few years passing in Tony’s life after Spy Racers ends.
Universal would be wise to include Tyler Posey’s Tony Toretto in future Fast & Furious films. According to reports, Fast X and Fast & Furious 11 will be the last instalments in the main series.
With Dom’s tale likely winding up in these films, Tony Toretto might be left to assist lead the franchise’s future edition, perhaps with Brie Larson as Brian O’Connor’s sister. Given how significant the Toretto family is to the Fast & Furious series, having Tony around would be a logical way to keep the Toretto’s connected even if Dom is no longer actively participating.
