Arthur Melo: ‘Ronaldo Continuously Making Fun of the Food We Eat! OMG Amazing
Arthur Melo, a talented midfielder for Juventus, recently revealed that his former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, would often tease their food choices. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo on July 4, Arthur fondly recalled his time at Juventus and how Ronaldo would playfully comment on their plates. He expressed admiration for Ronaldo’s exceptional skills and unique personality, noting that he had never encountered anyone quite like him before.
According to the Spanish daily, Ronaldo frequently ordered meals that differed from those of his teammates. He preferred a diet rich in fish, vegetables, and low in sugar. The 38-year-old striker maintained a rigorous routine of workouts and adhered strictly to his dietary preferences.
Despite being at an age where most players retire, Ronaldo continues to perform exceptionally well. During the second half of the 2022-2023 season, he scored an impressive 14 goals in 19 games for Al Nassr. Additionally, he has amassed a remarkable tally of 123 goals for Portugal at the international level, including five goals in their last four matches.
In the upcoming 2020-21 season, Arthur will once again have the opportunity to be Ronaldo’s teammate at Juventus. Following the conclusion of the previous season, Ronaldo briefly returned to Manchester United but left a year later due to differences with the club and coach Erik ten Hag. As a free agent, he subsequently signed with Al Nassr in January 2023.
During the summer of 2022, Arthur was loaned to Liverpool from Juventus. Unfortunately, due to injuries and below-par performances, he only saw limited action, amounting to just 13 minutes on the pitch. As the summer transfer window approaches, Arthur’s plans remain uncertain. When asked about his future, he replied, “The transfer window is very long, and we don’t know what will happen.” He expressed optimism about his potential future with Juventus, emphasizing his commitment to the club in accordance with his contract.
Juventus currently has Arthur under contract until June 2025. The 26-year-old midfielder was acquired from Barcelona for a transfer fee of $72 million in the summer of 2020, with an additional $10 million in fees. As part of the deal, midfielder Miralem Pjanić moved in the opposite direction. Arthur featured in all 63 games he played for Juventus and managed to score one goal during his time with the club.
