Brad Pitt recalls an unexpected wedding encounter during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith! OMG

During a recent interview, Brad Pitt shared a delightful anecdote about his unexpected wedding crash during the filming of the action comedy “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2005. Directed by Doug Liman, the film starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a married couple who are both secret assassins working for different companies. While the movie received mixed reviews from critics, it went on to achieve significant commercial success, grossing over $487 million worldwide.

In the interview with W Magazine, as part of the celebration for the release of “Babylon” directed by Damien Chazelle, Pitt recalled the incident. The set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” was located in a Deco building downtown, and on one particular day, a wedding party was taking place on a floor above. Intrigued by the festivities, Pitt decided to join in and crashed the wedding. To his surprise, the wedding party welcomed his presence, making the experience even more memorable.

Brad Pitt’s career during the 2000s was filled with notable successes, and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” played a significant role in his filmography. Following his performances in “Fight Club,” “Snatch,” and “Spy Game,” Pitt achieved further success with the release of “Ocean’s Eleven” in 2001, which was followed by its sequel “Ocean’s Twelve” in 2004. Additionally, he starred in “Troy” in 2004, directed by Wolfgang Petersen, which earned over $497 million at the box office.

After “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” Pitt began taking on more diverse roles, challenging the perception of him as a suave leading man. He reprised his role as Rusty Ryan in “Ocean’s Thirteen” in 2007 and ventured into dark comedy with the Coen Brothers’ film “Burn After Reading.” He showcased his versatility in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and delivered a memorable performance as Lt. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” in 2009. Throughout the 2010s, Pitt continued to star in successful films, balancing both Hollywood blockbusters and more independent projects.

Currently, Brad Pitt remains active as a producer, involved in upcoming projects such as “Wrong Answer,” a drama starring Michael B. Jordan, and “The Tiger,” a thriller starring Alexander Skarsgård. On the acting front, he is set to star in director Joseph Kosinski’s untitled film, following a retired Formula One driver who returns to mentor a young protégé. Although the appreciation for “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” has grown over the years, there are no plans for Pitt to be involved in Amazon’s reboot series of the film.
