News: Rey Mysterio says he quits WWE ?? Shocking.

Tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Rey Mysterio announced that he is quitting.

Mysterio told Triple H about his decision. He said that he can’t fight his son Dominik and he looks back at his son as the little boy he used to bounce on his lap.

Rey was brutally attacked by his son during Monday Night Raw and has had to deal with Dominik asking him to punch him. Rey has declined to fight his son at every opportunity.

This is looking like the set up for a WrestleMania 39 match. If you missed it, click below to watch the Mysterio segment with Triple H.

UPDATE: In fact, Rey did not quit WWE. Triple H worked out a deal for Rey to enter the Fatal 4-Way to determine a new number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. The match featured Mysterio vs. Sheamus vs. Ricochet vs. Solo Sikoa. The replacement was needed because earlier in the show, Karrion Kross was involved in a car accident (storyline). Rey won the match to earn a future IC Title shot.
