”It Was Enough For Me” – John Cena Reveals How He Felt After Getting 16 German Suplexes!
Brock Lesnar simply dominates every opponent he faces. He doesn’t care who he is up against; all that matters to him is wreaking havoc on the person who gets in his way, for which he is renowned. For example, at SummerSlam in 2014, The Beast brutally beat 16-time WWE champion John Cena.
He performed not one, but 16 German suplexes during SummerSlam 2014, which is absolutely breathtaking. Cena emphasized the brutality of this match when discussing it, saying that it even drove him to understand German.
John Cena on Brock Lesnar
The Chain Gang Soldier would never have imagined taking 16 suplexes, not even in his wildest dreams. In an interview with Gorilla Position, he was questioned about using German suplexes.
“It was enough for me to learn a little bit of german! I’ve since forgotten it but it was a very hard-fought contest. When things aren’t necessarily going your way and that was quite a one-sided match you wanna stay in there as long as you can try to make the best of the opportunity,” John Cena said.
The fact that Lesnar had applied so many German suplexes to him was hilariously mocked by the Cenation Leader. He went on to explain how this gave him the drive to prove himself once more.
“I mean after that match there was quite a few people talking about not only the dominance of Brock Lesnar. But maybe the demise of the twilight of me and so as much as I didn’t do well at SummerSlam. It was a great sense of motivation to like prove everyone wrong once again,” Cena added.
Lesnar destroyed Cena with 16 suplexes
JBL, a WWE commentator, was so startled by Lesnar’s dominance that he forewarned that Lesnar would have brutally destroyed Cena if the match hadn’t been called off.
“That’s a 15-time world champion. You gotta take care of him. He is gonna get hurt against Brock Lesnar if the referee doesn’t call this match off,” JBL said.
Lesnar hit an F5 on Cena while he had control of the match. Brock Lesnar continued to lift Cena up and Suplex him as The Suplex City went on. Following a second F5 and complete control of the match with 16 suplexes, Brock pinned the champion.
Nobody had ever seen Cena deal with such abuse directed at him, making the 16-time WWE champion seem weak. In fact, it’s still regarded as one of the most successful games in the organization’s history.
