Ronda Rousey Speaks About Her Royal Rumble Victory! Is She Coming Again For Rumble?

Ronda Rousey recently appeared on the ‘The DC Check-In’ where she spoke about her Royal Rumble victory. Ronda Rousey was at one time the most popular and well known UFC fighter. She had an undefeated MMA record and was at one time regarded as the best female MMA fighter in the world.

She was also pushed by the UFC as she was one of the company’s top draws. After retiring from MMA, she joined the WWE where she won the RAW Women’s Title and was even part of a main event at WrestleMania.

Ronda Rousey Talks About Not Liking Her Victory at The Royal Rumble

Ronda revealed that she did not like her victory.

She actually was expecting people to boo her after she came out. However, when she did not get the boos that she was expecting, she just blocked the cheers and stated that she just wanted to complete her job. I was expecting boos,” said Rousey.

“I came out with my guard up and I didn’t get to enjoy that moment because I was expecting what I got on the way out. So when I came out and everyone popped, I just blocked them out, didn’t let them in, and just went in, did my job and got out.”

She told herself, “no, no, no … you need to smile and you need to stop being a b***h” because Vince McMahon had changed his mind after hearing the pop she received from the St. Louis crowd at The Dome, saying “Well, they popped for her real big so she’s a babyface.”

According to Ronda, she considers being her heel an outlet. He idol, Roddy Piper is considered one of the greatest heels of all time. “He was the real heel that wanted you to hate him, not the cool guy heel,” said Ronda Rousey, who pointed out to Cormier that the Piper replica jacket that she wears is stab proof.

“That’s the heel I want to be, the heel that inspires the vitriol of emotions and really gets the other person liked. It’s so much easier to get people to hate someone than to like them, and I think a lot of people forget that the job of a heel is to get the babyface over; not for everyone to think that you’re a cool heel.”
