Snake flees the python’s fatal grip and defeats it in a bloody duel to the
death.
This is the dramatic situation in which a king cobra was discovered on the roadside fighting to the death with a python.
On December 9, in Nakhon Si Thammasat, southern Thailand, the two puppies got into a fight in the hallway before spilling out in front of passing cars. Images that can be eaten demonstrate how the python wrapped its thick body around the cobra in an effort to stifle it before the cobra sank its fangs into its opponent’s neck. Anoochit Preecha, the onlooker, saw as the two reptiles twisted in the fief duel as each battled for dominance.
“One was battling for its life, and one was sated its hunger,” he claimed. I’m fortunate to have seen such an event. Cobras strike at the base of the target’s neck to inject lethal venom, whereas pythons strangle their prey to death.
In this instance, the cobra was able to endure long enough for the python to get weak and relinquish its grip as a result of the python’s lethal enom. Then, it slowly passed away before the cobra ate it whole. When competing for food or prey, some snakes, especially pythons and cobras, will cannibalise one another.
The black king cobra first appeared to be doomed as the python quickly gained the upper hand in the conflict.
