That ’90s Show Trailer Reveals That ’70s Show Gang’s FINAL Comeback
For the first time, the majority of the core cast is shown returning in the newest official That ’90s Show trailer. The series is a continuation of That ’70s Show, which aired on Fox from 1998 to 2006. It debuts on Netflix on January 19, 2023. The story will follow adolescent Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) as she spends the summer of 1995 with her grandparents Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and becomes friends with some of the neighbourhood youngsters. Along with returning cast members Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama who will make an appearance as special guests, the ensemble cast of the series also consists of Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.
The primary characters of That ’90s Show have not yet been shown in any of the trailers, with the exception of Kitty and Red’s reappearance. This morning, Netflix fixed that by releasing a brand-new teaser that explores even more of the antics of the new gang in addition to the eagerly anticipated first glimpse at the returning cast members of the main That ’70s Show cast. Leia’s parents Donna (Prepon) and Eric (Grace) have already been revealed, but the trailer also includes a brand-new shocking revelation: Coronel’s character Jay is the son of Michael (Kutcher) and Jackie (Kunis). The trailer is provided below.

The Returning Characters from That ’90s Show: Everything the Trailer Tells Us
Thanks to the new teaser, the returning characters from That ’70s Show have now been identified, but little is known about how their lives have developed between the events of the original series finale, which took place on New Year’s Eve 1979, and 1995 at this time. However, there are a few nuggets in the footage seen in the above movie. Additionally, Netflix revealed this morning that the flirtatious young videographer Jay is actually Jay Kelso, unrelated to the trailer’s actual content.
Unfortunately, there is only a fleeting glimpse of Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart in the trailer, which may disappoint fans who are interested in seeing them again. However, given that their son appears to be a local, it would suggest that the couple has stayed in Point Place, Wisconsin. In the series finale, Jackie was shown to be with Fez, although it is obvious that they broke up and she later reconnected with Kelso. The teaser indicates that Fez has opened his own hair salon called Chez Fez and isn’t really hurting from the split.
The characters that the That ’90s Show trailer spends the most time with are Donna and Eric, aside from Fez. The fact that they named their daughter Leia would appear to indicate that his obsession with Star Wars (which debuted in 1977 during the second part of That ’70s Show season 1) is still going strong. She still has her sharp wit and he still has his goofy charm. They have undoubtedly relocated to Chicago, but it is still uncertain what each of them actually does for a living. Considering that they will probably play a significant role in the first episode as they accompany Leia to visit her grandparents, it is likely that those specifics will be clarified as soon as possible in the next season.
